A deliberately simple momentary mute pedal.
A mute pedal that does one thing: silence the signal while your foot is down. No latching mode, no options, no screen. An experiment in how little a useful device can be.
One thing, done properly
Kill mutes the signal while your foot is down and passes it when your foot is up. That is the entire feature set. There is no latching mode, no soft-release time, no screen, no menu.
It exists because every mute pedal that could do this was also trying to do five other things, and the extra things always seemed to be in the way at the moment you actually needed silence — a dead patch on stage, a tuning change, a guitar swap.
What's inside
- A relay-based hard mute, so the signal is genuinely disconnected rather than attenuated.
- A momentary footswitch rated for the number of stomps a working musician will actually put through it.
- True bypass when the pedal is not engaged, so it adds nothing to the chain.
- Powered by standard 9V centre-negative, or it runs passively for the mute itself — the power is only for the status LED.
Status
Released and built in small batches. Each one is tested on a real pedalboard before it ships.
